Hey All! Yesterday was my 6-weeks post-op. Crazy to think that I only had surgery 6 weeks ago. But, I am super excited to be able to begin my ramp up to "working-out" again and I can use hair products in my hair (so excited to tame the frizz, ha!).
The heat in Seattle is pretty unbearable at the moment. Today we are expected to see a high of 96 degrees Fahrenheit, Sunday a high of 98 degrees Fahrenheit, and Monday a high of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. In Seattle, summer usually doesn't start until the 4th of July (and a a moderate temperature of 75 degrees!), so this heat wave is very unexpected. We might even break the record for recording two 100 degree days in a row (the record right now is only one 100 degree day). And the most oppressive part is that not that many people own A/Cs in Seattle. We were very lucky to grab one earlier in the week, but they where flying off the shelves. We may have to spend the rest of the weekend in the basement!

View of Mt. Rainier from Magnolia last night :)
Anyway, I also had time yesterday to get back on my bike! So excited to spin my legs again!! Don't worry-- it was a super easy spin and I only "worked out" for about 20 minutes. But it felt so good. Still waiting for the temp outside to decrease to start my running again (but got to wait until the temp is below 85 on that front!... Let's not over heat in this weather!!). And can't even think about swimming until treatment is done with, so have to wait until August to even think about that, dang!

Me on my bike!
I think the biggest challenge this weekend will be to stay cool and not freak out if I get a headache because it will probably be from dehydration and the heat 😆.
Stay cool and don't sweat the small stuff :)
